Wood-burning stove/gas fireplace and price

Price and quality are definitely linked

There is every reason to think carefully before making one of the largest investments for your home: the fireplace.

All RAIS wood-burning stoves and gas fireplaces are the result of a conscious design process, and this is noticeable not only visually, but also in the day-to-day use of our products. Below are some of the unique features that contribute to the high quality.

CleverAir™ is an optional extra available on many of our free-standing wood-burning stoves. CleverAir™ is an automatic air damper which adjusts the air supply to the stove automatically. All you need to do is light the fire, and the stove does the rest.

Advanced Glass Concept©

In wood-burning stoves, clean glass and a clear view of the flames is naturally important. At RAIS, we are constantly working to achieve this with different kinds of glass variants. Using coated glass or dual-layer glass reflects some of the radiant heat, and this speeds up the heating process and also achieves a higher temperature in the combustion chamber. Fast heating and a higher temperature reduce soot production, thereby ensuring a clean window. We call this special solution the Advanced Glass Concept©.

Optimized combustion

All of our wood-burning stoves and fireplace inserts naturally meet all requirements on efficiency and particulate emissions. Combustion is optimized at our own test centre; here each wood-burning stove and fireplace insert is tested and evaluated before going into production. The result is clean glass, and clean combustion.

Complete design solutions – from stove to chimney

We know that when it comes to your home interior, the fine details and the right finish are crucial. We therefore offer flue pipes in the same six colours as our stoves, as well as stainless steel. When fitting the flue pipes, the separate sections push into each other and the joints are virtually invisible.

When assessing the price of a particular wood-burning stove, it’s also worth considering the costs of installation, as well as any minor fees for official approval.

For inserts, and particularly inserts for gas, installation typically costs a little more than for a free-standing stove – all depending on conditions. However, bear in mind that gas fireplaces only have a venting pipe.
