As temperatures drop and your gas fireplace comes back into use, it is a good idea to carry out a few simple checks after the summer break.
Here, we guide you through the most important steps to make sure your gas fireplace is ready for the season.
VIVA L 120 GAS
01
Annual service
We recommend having your gas fireplace serviced annually. Autumn is an ideal time, before the fireplace returns to regular use.
After several months without use, you may need to try lighting the fireplace 2–3 times before it starts normally.
03
Check the batteries
Check the batteries in the receiver and remote control, and replace them if necessary with new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
05
Re-establish the connection
If the fireplace does not respond to the remote control, it may be necessary to re-establish the connection between the remote control and the receiver.
05
Clean the fireplace
Clean the glass and, at the same time, check that the decorative elements are positioned correctly and do not obstruct the gas flow or thermocouples.
06
Check the flames
If only the pilot flame ignites, or if the flames are smaller than usual, this may indicate a problem with the gas supply or regulator.
