Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by forests, dunes, and open landscapes, lies a summer house in northern Denmark. Originally a retreat for holidays and weekends, in 2024, it became a year-round residence – a place where nature's tranquillity and slow pace create balance in everyday life. Here, you share the surroundings with wild animals like red deer, fallow deer, and foxes, and the silence is only broken by the wind in the trees.
Nature is part of everyday life – and this very connection to the surroundings was crucial when the house underwent extensive renovation.
With a deep love for materials with history and a desire to preserve the soul of the house, having a wood-burning stove was a given – in fact, two.
The choice fell on Juno L 160 with soapstone, a wood-burning stove that combines form and function with its unique cladding of beautiful sandstone. The warm tones of the stone harmonize perfectly with the elegant mocha-colored door, creating a natural focal point in the room. Beyond being a visual gem, the stones retain heat and release it slowly, keeping the room's temperature comfortable for longer.
In another room, a former covered terrace, the needs were different. Here, the stove needed to be lower and more discreet. The Nexo 100 with side glass fits perfectly – the epitome of clean lines and streamlined design. Both wood-burning stoves are equipped with the AirSystem, ensuring optimal combustion and a healthy indoor climate.
The owners of the house, Vita and Erik, have no doubt why they chose wood-burning stoves from RAIS:
"When we choose something for our home, we go for high quality – and that was exactly what we found at RAIS. It costs a little more, but you also get a stove that is flawless down to the smallest detail. The door closes like a bank vault, the steel has a solid weight, and the design is simply in a class of its own. We have no doubt – it was the perfect choice."
